ManageSoft Strengthens Offering with Oracle License Management

ManageSoft continues to strengthen it’s portfolio of tools for license compliance with an optional Oracle compliance module within it’s flagship Enterprise Compliance Manager.

“The compliance package includes discovery and inventory of Oracle database instances and options across an enterprise. To determine license entitlement, the package also supports the primary Oracle licensing models: Processor-based and Named User Plus (NUP). ECM incorporates a complex set of rules for these license types to allow optimization against actual use and Oracle license usage rights. Alerts are also provided for compliance drift situations for early detection and correction.”

Many inventory and software licence management tools will track the existence of an oracle installation, it is unusual for a solution to track alternative license types such as per processor licensing – which dominates in oracle licensing. This can only strengthen ManageSoft’s position in the market as a key player for enterprise wide license management.
