  1. Microsoft is using as well some of the big auditing consulting firms in large accounts besides traditional SAM partners.

    Many current SQL SA benefits did not need SA previously.

    As stated in podcast customers need unbiased advice to help them analyze their options – and vendors / publishers and channel partners are not always the source as they may have conflict of interests.
