I am pleased to share some exciting new developments and company update for The ITAM Review.
Like the rest of world, we’ve experienced a rollercoaster ride of a year, but as a result we’re bigger and stronger than ever before.
Like the rest of world, we’ve experienced a rollercoaster ride of a year, but as a result we’re bigger and stronger than ever before.
Karen McAllen took over as Managing Director in February 2020, just before the outbreak. Within the space of a few weeks, we saw our in-person events business and half of our forecasted revenue for the year evaporate. Thanks to Karen for coolly and calmly navigating us through one of the most turbulent times in our history.
The team did an amazing job switching our offerings to pure digital, and despite some heart stopping moments at the outset of the pandemic, managed to grow revenues by 20% year on year and smashed their targets. Kudos to Karen McAllen, Henry Lee, Rich Gibbons, Victoria Kealy, AJ Witt, Marinela Cojocaru, Archie James, Damian Harris and Dominic Richards.
As a result of positive growth, we’re in a position to make a number of key changes to grow the ITAM Review community.
Our LISA training platform continues to grow both in terms of customers enjoying the platform, training formats and new content being developed.
To provide LISA the room to grow and the focus it deserves, we’ve created a separate training entity, ITAM Review Learning Ltd.
Henry Lee, who joined us in 2018 as commercial director will be stepping up to lead this new venture as CEO. We thank Henry for the lasting positive impact he has made at The ITAM Review and wish him the best in his new role.
Speaking of the new role, Henry said:
“It has been the most enjoyable two years of my working career to date – thank you to the team and our partners for helping to deliver such strong growth over this time. I look forward to leading ITAM Review Learning and providing the industry with the broadest and deepest subject content within a blended-learning experience. With the ever-changing world of ITAM & SAM, it couldn’t be a more important time to learn, and we aim to lead the way.”

We’re also pleased to announce the launch of ITAM Review Careers. A global recruitment consultancy focussed on the IT Asset Management and Software Asset Management industry. Damian Harris, who joined us in 2020 as Business Development Manager, is stepping up to lead this new venture as Global Talent Acquisition Manager.
Damian brings seven years of recruitment experience dedicated to the field of ITAM, SAM and Software Licensing. We’re delighted to be collaborating with Damian to build a global recruitment practice, specifically aimed at the unique demands of the ITAM, SAM and Cloud markets.

Rich Gibbons steps up to ITAM Services Director, now responsible for the delivery all ITAM Review services and growing this area for us, whilst maintaining his unhealthy obsession with all things Microsoft Licensing! Good luck to Rich in his new role and thanks to Rich for everything he does for us.
Replacing Henry at ITAM Review is Michelle Smith who has joined us as Global Account Director. Please join me in welcoming Michelle.
Finally, I am excited to be taking the newly created role of Editor within The ITAM Review responsible for all publishing and the editorial schedule, continuing to split my time 50/50 with the ITAM Forum.
As of February 2020, we have committed to donating 1% of turnover to good causes and are very pleased to contribute financially to the following organisations:
Thank you to all of our readers, supporters, contributors, speakers, sponsors, partners and collaborators. Thank you all for helping us through a turbulent year and for your continued support.
IT Asset Management has a role to play as economies recover from the pandemic and we’re proud to be supporting the profession at this challenge time. Here’s to a brighter and more social 2021!
