Flexera is first SAM tool vendor verified for Oracle E-Business Suite applications

Flexera has announced that it has been verified as the first software asset management (SAM) tool vendor for Oracle E-Business Suite applications.

Almost anyone with an Oracle estate will be familiar with the company’s License Management Services (LMS). You may also be familiar with the company’s Global Licensing and Advisory Services (GLAS), which provides tools for customers to gain insight into their Oracle software deployments. In addition to providing its own in-house Oracle tools, GLAS also provides a certification program for SAM tools vendors to gain “Oracle Verified Tool Vendor” status.

The program has expanded to now offer insights into Oracle E-Business Suite applications so that Oracle customers may choose to work with their own SAM vendors instead of relying solely on Oracle’s GLAS tools. Flexera is the first and—so far—only partner to be verified for this new capability.

Oracle E-Business Suite is one of Oracle’s biggest product lines, bundling together Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.

According to Flexera’s official announcement, “Obtaining this verification means that Oracle recognizes Flexera as a third-party tool vendor that provides accurate usage data for Oracle EBS, and that customers have confidence that Flexera is accurately collecting software deployment information for this product.”

In addition to being the first third-party tool vendor verified for the Oracle E-Business Suite, Flexera is also a verified vendor for the following additional Oracle solutions:

  • Oracle Database and Database Options
  • Oracle Fusion Middleware
  • Java SE
